Flight simulators are even being used by aerospace manufacturing companies for tasks such as the testing and development of flight engineering hardware and software as well as aircraft systems. Most of these simulators have what is called Instructor Operating Systems where an instructor can actually and quickly create any type of environmental condition, be it normal or abnormal, imaginable to test a person's skills under certain conditions.
